1) The Origin of Qianhe

Zhang Qian twice sent envoys to the Western Regions, opening up the famous Silk Road from the Han Dynasty to the north and south of the Western Regions. Zheng He's seven voyages to the West opened up overseas trade and promoted the prosperous development of the Maritime Silk Road. Following the spirit of diplomatic expansion and adventurous exploration of Zhang Qian and Zheng He back then, the name "Qianhe" is derived from the meanings of Zhang "Qian" and Zheng "He".
